Swab is a piece of material or an absorbent pad generally used in surgeries for taking specimens, applying medication and cleaning wounds. The culture and sensitivity anaerobic test is done on the OT Swab to detect an infection and its subsequent treatment. The swabs used for the test are sterilized and are used to test the level of microbial contamination.
